FAQ
What makes the KTC H27S5 a good choice for gaming?
We designed the H27S5 to offer two ways to play: QHD at 200Hz for detailed, immersive gaming, or 720p at 400Hz when speed takes priority. Its 27-inch 1500R curved screen brings both experiences into one setup.
Does the H27S5 support 400Hz at QHD resolution?
The H27S5 supports 2560 × 1440 at up to 200Hz and 1280 × 720 at up to 400Hz. Choose QHD for sharper visuals, or switch to 400Hz mode for a higher refresh rate at a lower resolution.
Which mode should I use for competitive FPS games?
We recommend 720p at 400Hz if you prioritize refresh rate and your PC can deliver high frame rates. For sharper distant targets and clearer in-game details, QHD at 200Hz offers a balance of clarity and smoothness.
What does the 1500R curved screen add to the experience?
The 1500R curve creates a more wrapped viewing experience for racing games, open-world adventures, and movies. Combined with the 27-inch screen, it offers an immersive alternative to a flat display.
How does the H27S5 perform in dark scenes?
The H27S5 features a 5000:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks and stronger separation between light and dark areas. It also supports HDR10 content for compatible games and movies.
Does the H27S5 support Adaptive Sync in both modes?
Yes. The H27S5 supports Adaptive Sync in both 200Hz and 400Hz modes to help reduce screen tearing and stuttering. Use compatible graphics hardware and enable the relevant display and graphics settings to take advantage of it.
What connectivity ports does the H27S5 have?
The H27S5 includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports for connecting your PC and compatible devices. Check the user manual for the resolution and refresh-rate combinations supported by each input.
Can I use the H27S5 with a PS5 or Nintendo Switch?
Yes. You can connect a PS5 or Nintendo Switch through HDMI. The available resolution and refresh rate depend on your console and game; the monitor's 400Hz mode does not increase a console's maximum output.
Can I use a monitor arm with the H27S5?
Yes. The H27S5 supports 100 × 100mm VESA mounting for compatible monitor arms and wall mounts. Before installation, check your mount's weight capacity and the required screw specifications. The included stand also offers tilt adjustment.
Is the H27S5 suitable for everyday work as well as gaming?
Yes. Its 2560 × 1440 resolution provides clear text and useful workspace for documents, browsing, and multitasking. Wide color reproduction also makes it a versatile choice for entertainment and casual creative work. For professional color-critical tasks, we recommend checking your calibration requirements before choosing a display.
