The 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC) concluded in Paris with AG.AL crowned Club Champion after topping the overall standings with 5,300 points.
AG.AL's campaign was built across multiple titles. The decisive moment came on the final weekend, when Gwendal "Gwen" Duparc won the Trackmania tournament and secured the points AG.AL needed to move ahead of Team Falcons. The club ultimately claimed the $7 million Club Championship prize.

A Championship Bigger Than a Single Game
Unlike traditional esports tournaments focused on one title, the Esports World Cup Club Championship rewards organizations for performance across an entire portfolio of games. The 2026 edition brought together more than 2,000 players representing 200 clubs and over 100 countries, competing across 25 tournaments in 24 games for a record $75 million prize pool.

AG.AL's run reflected that depth. Alongside the decisive Trackmania victory, the organization recorded a first-place finish in TEKKEN 8, runner-up results in Chess, Free Fire, and the Honor of Kings World Cup, and a third-place finish in Teamfight Tactics.
Esports on a Global Stage
EWC 2026 also demonstrated esports’ growing cultural reach. At the closing ceremony at Paris’s Grand Palais, French President Emmanuel Macron and Esports Foundation CEO Ralf Reichert presented the Club Championship trophy to AG.AL representatives.
The moment underscored how far esports has moved beyond its traditional audience. Major international competitions now bring together professional players, global clubs, brands, fans, and public figures on the same stage — making esports an increasingly important part of global sports, entertainment, and youth culture.
